"First Insurance Company" and "Islamic International Arab Bank" sign Three Cooperation Agreements


Amman – 1st May (Petra) First Insurance Company and Islamic International Arab Bank sign three Cooperation Agreements comprising the provision of new insurance services to the Bank's customers and opening a 7th Point of Sale for the Company at the Bank's Branch in Irbed Governorate.


The Agreements were signed in the presence of Dr. Ali Al Wazani, the Chief Executive Officer of First Insurance Company and Iyad Asali, the General Manager of Islamic International Arab Bank.


Iyad Asali, the General Manager of Islamic International Arab Bank indicated that signing such memorandum stems from the Bank's belief in providing the best banking products and services for those who deal with it whether individuals or corporates and the Bank always seeks to update and develop its Islamic Banking operations and its quality services particularly with an insurance company which is deemed to be one of the best companies in Takafol Insurance.


He added that the Islamic International Arab Bank always seeks strategic partnerships with vital sectors in Jordan including inter alia the Insurance Sector to provide innovative Islamic Banking Services of high quality which are Sharia' compliant.


On his part, Al Wazani stated that the Company shall, through such Agreements, provide distinguished insurance services to the Islamic International Arab Bank's customers that shall comprise Fire and Allied Perils Insurance Policy for Hire Purchase agreements and Takafol Insurance Policy as modern services provided by the Company after recently concluding the merger process which assisted the Company in expanding its service base.


He added that the 3rd Agreement provides for creating a 7th Point of Sale within the Bank's Branch in Irbed Governorate to join the chain of Points of Sale announced earlier indicating that the new Point of Sale is within the Company's expansion plan and extension to the governorates during 2016.


He also indicated that the Company, after recently finalizing the merger process with Yarmouk Insurance Company and through the great diversity in its insurance services, aims at acquiring the largest number of customers throughout the Kingdom by creating modern Points of Sale equipped with full capabilities.


Al Wazani also stated that this not the first agreement between the Company and the Bank where the Company has previously established with the Islamic [International] Arab Bank five Points of Sale at Gardens, Wihdat, Madina Munawara, Al Khalidi and Al Yasmeen Branches.


He lauded the role played by the Islamic International Arab Bank in the local market and the Islamic Banking Products and Services provided to all sectors of the Jordanian community that contribute in meeting the increasing demand for the Islamic Banking Services and supporting the national economy.


Al Wazani asserted that signing such Agreement with the Islamic International Arab Bank, one of the leading Islamic banks in Jordan, falls within the framework of realizing the Company's objectives in enhancing its reputation at the local level and in confirmation of developing the cooperation frameworks between First Insurance Company and the Islamic International Arab Bank.
